I'm on my way again! Woo Hoo!
It's coming up to 3:40pm, and I'm sat in the lounge at Manchester Airport awaiting details for boarding the 5:15pm flight to London Heathrow. Checking-in went smoothly - except no one told me that any luggage over 1 piece counts as excess baggage on a short-haul British Airways flight. The extra suitcase has cost me £20! The same charge will be made to me on my return journey - something I'm going to be taking up with Fred Olsen (fortunately, I have a receipt).
A cup of tea and a sandwich has cost me just under £5 - needless to say, I'll have to feed on my own body fat now until I can gorge on the promised in-flight snack (hm - can't wait).
It's an hour and three-quarters until take off, so I'm going to have to get settled into some serious reading to stave off the boredom - despite the recent problems, I'm actually quite looking forward to getting a good look at Heathrow's new Terminal 5.
I'm sat by some large windows looking out over towards the runways - here's a photo:

Cool huh?
